Candle Cove Singles Chart: 11/16/19

1. Glass Animals - Tokyo Drifting  (Feat. Denzel Curry) A team up that I never knew I needed shows up on the doorstep of 2019 as we transition into the long awaited and incredibly promising new era for Glass Animals. 2. Grimes - So Heavy I Fell Through The Earth With a release date and a solo song we are finally starting to understand what the new Grimes record may sound like, and the first record she's dropped in 5 years is finally starting to take shape. 3. Moses Sumney - Virile Moses Sumney is dropping his long awaited second record in two parts next year and if it follows the artistic progression of the EP he dropped in 2018, then it is liable to be an album of the year contender right out of the gate. 4. Camila Cabello - Living Proof Camila is saturating these last few months with a lot of music and starting to define herself as a solo artist with a second full record on the horizon, an exciting prospect for any pop music fans. 5. Candle Cove Singles Chart: 11/8/19

1. Frank Ocean - In My Room For the second time in three weeks Frank Ocean takes the number one spot on the charts with pure name recognition alone, and for the second time in two weeks he blocks a Coldplay tune at #2. Frank seems to be gearing up for a proper album release which is exciting for everyone even if the singles haven't received universal acclaim. 2. Coldplay - Everyday Life Coldplay is back with a third single in three weeks and this one came paired with a debut performance of the song on Saturday Night Live, proving that despite the years since Coldplay's last record they are still commercially dominant. 3. Poppy - BLOODMONEY Poppy has been nearly flawless in 2019 with not only my runaway EP of the year but also a handful of fantastic singles that are working us towards her third record in four years in early 2020. 4. 1. Tame Impala - It Might Be Time Kevin Parker and Tame Impala grab their second number one of the year as he gears up to drop the long awaited fourth record from the critically acclaimed rock band. 2. Torres - Good Score Torres is finally back and as she is set to drop a new record in January of next year we get our first taste of what it may sound like and the first single from Torres since last years Two of Everything . 3. Wolf Parade - Against The Day Wolf Parade are back once again after a triumphant return in 2017 with a new record and a lead single that is sure to be an overlooked and underrated moment in indie music this year. 2. Perfume Genius - Pop Song After dropping the second highest charting and first longest charting song of the year with his first single of 2019 Eye In The Wall  Perfume Genius could be set up with even more success along one of the most creatively dominant periods of his ever evolving career. 3. 1. Danny Brown - Best Life Danny Brown steals a slow week for his second #1 of the year just two weeks removed from his first, and with a highly anticipated new album right around the corner. 2. Have A Nice Life - Lords Of Transmission After a lead single that some saw as a misstep the legendary experimental rock band has seen fit to release a second track from their long awaited third record ahead of its release. 3. DIIV - Blankenship After scoring a #1 earlier this year DIIV continues to place strongly as they continue to deliver shoegaze tinged indie rock that sounds as refreshing as their style always has. 4. Perfume Genius - Eye In The Wall The singles best week of 2019 so far is headlined by an artists I have been desperately waiting to hear more from since he released one of the most gorgeous and overpowering pop albums of the decade two years ago. Perfume Genuis is back with a brand new single that is sure to push the envelope of his expansive pop sound. 2. FKA Twigs - Holy Terrain  (Feat. Future) FKA Twigs has finally announced her second studio album after a five year wait and following up her chart topping lead single Cellophane  wish the announcement and a Future collab is a bold move from a notoriously bold artist.  3. Slowthai and Denzel Curry -  Psycho Slowthai continues to have an undefeated 2019 as he teams up with Denzel Curry on a highly anticipated song the two debuted at Lollapalooza earlier this year. 1. DIIV - Skin Game DIIV returns after a long studio album drought of three years with the lead single for their upcoming third record running away with the #1 spot this week. 2. The 1975 = The 1975 Matty Healy and company get their new era kicked off with a quick turn around from the last one dropping the band-named track that has been the opener to each of their records so far up to this point. 3. Taylor Swift - The Archer Taylor has only one way to go an its up, with the midweek drop of The Archer  Taylor takes a risk from a chart success standpoint but garners plenty of mid-week attention all her own. 4. Tegan And Sara - I'll Be Back Someday Tegan and Sara kick off their own new era with their last studio record having come three years ago. 1. Ride - Repetition The legendary shoegaze band steals a #1 in what may be the weakest week of 2019 so far. On the back of a great lead single Ride is gearing up to drop their second album of the 2010's 2. Rosalia - Millionaria Rosalia continues building up her namesake in 2019 with a split single calling back to the ever growing popularity of latin pop music on the charts. 3.
