CC Singles Chart: 6/21/19

1. Nicki Minaj - Megatron
Nicki takes a storming #1 with the highly anticipated MEGATRON that arrives after a huge viral marketing campaign and a quick turnaround from last years Queen era.

2. Spoon - No Bullets Spent
Spoon returns after a two year absence likely to continue their reign as indie's most consistent band with more sharp riffs and catchy tunes.

3. Poppy - Choke
Poppy is playing the genre bender game once again and by dropping the title track to her upcoming EP she asks the question what do you EXPECT her music to sound like?

4. Lupe Fiasco - Run Game
Out of nowhere Lupe Fiasco returns with a new single looking to build off of a solid release last year and potentially building to a third album in the Drogas series.

5. YBN Cordae - Bad Idea (Feat. Chance The Rapper)
Cordae scores his highest chart spot since last years J. Cole response song, by recruiting in demand feature Chance The Rapper and ramping up for his big debut solo release.

6. Kim Petras - Another One
The title of Kim's new single seems to mirror fans reactions as she drops track after track week in and out but with some improved consistency and the announcement of an album upcoming Another One sits comfortably at 6.

7. Migos - Stripper Bowl
Migos drop their first track in a surprisingly long time but the sheer oversaturation of their sound from the various members and the numerous copycats make it tough to get very excited for any given Migos song.

8. Stormzy - Crown
Stormzy took a while to follow up his great single earlier this year but after promising a change of pace for this release he lands solidly in the middle of the chart this week.

9. Shawn Mendes/Camila Cabello - Seniorita
Powering through sheer star power alone expectations for the quality of this track are low but Camila and Shawn are two big of names to ignore.

10. Foster The People - Imagination
Foster The People return after underwhelming in 2019 so far with another shot at recouping what made a handful of the songs from their last album enjoyable.

11. Violent Femmes - Another Chorus
Violent Femmes recruit some music journalists to help promote their new single and hope for a return to form after a long, long drought of critical acclaim.

12. The Hold Steady - Denver Haircut
After dropping a number of forgettable loosies the past two years The Hold Steady are officially back and have anounced a date for their new album with this serving as its first official single.

13. !!! - Serbia Drums
!!! return after a decent outing earlier this year with yet another track slipping in as the final new single of the week, expecting fans of some artists that were cut to hate me for this one.

14. Burial - Claustro
Burial's excellent A-Side to his recent double single stays strong and looks to make a push for a third week given that we aren't likely to hear much more material from the elusive producer in 2019.

15. Freddie Gibbs & Madlib - Giannis (Feat, Anderson .Paak)
Freddie and Madlib continue to work the charts in 2019 scoring yet another 2nd week birth going 4/4 in that category, with the Anderson .Paak featuring beauty Giannis.
