Kevin Abstract is a Texas rapper and singer who released two albums of his own in the mid 2010's, the second of which American Boyfriend  being met with critical acclaim. But in 2017 Kevin became the main brain behind internet rap collective Brockhampton and piloted the group through a trilogy of acclaimed releases skyrocketing them to relevancy and setting the stage for their 2018 album iridescence  to score a #1 on Billboard's Hot 200 Albums chart.
