Courtney Barnett is an Australian singer songwriter who emerged as one of the genre's next big acts in the mid 2010's. Her unique blend of indie instrumentation with a rambling and narrative heavy style of songwriting made her a quick critical darling as songs like Avant Gardner  and Pedestrian At Best  were praised for their relentless cleverness. On her 2018 sophomore album Tell Me How You Really Feel  she shifted her sound to a more familiar indie rock approach which garnered her a lot of new fans but received mixed reviews from some already familiar listeners.  Review By Lav: I'm one of those already familiars. Kesha is an LA based pop singer who blew up in the early 2010's off of some huge viral singles and a pair of successful albums.After a long break that included plenty of non music related drama she emerged with a brand new sound on the much more personal and ballad driven Rainbow. Now on her fourth record High Road  she looks to blend her old and new styles, and even some other sounds we've never heard from her before into a defining moment. Review By Lavender: Kesha is an artist that I've always liked just a little bit less than most people. When she was at her commercial peak she was dropping big hits, but critics we're going after the short-sightedness of her music. And given how dated some of those songs feel just ten years later proves they were right. After a slow one last week we kick it into high gear with 7 new releases across all genres and quality expectations. Let's get into it. 7. "Ogilala" William Patrick Corgan Better known as Billy Corgan the frontman of once great rock band Smashing Pumpkins, the music has certainly gone downhill as the line up of musicians surrounding Corgan constantly changed over the years. Though he's far from heyday he also hasn't crashed yet and even though some of his most recent work is just plain boring, it's not outright bad, here's to hoping he can turn it around for a late career comeback effect, but I wouldn't hold my breath. 6. "Carry Fire" Robert Plant Here we are again, this time Plant of the great Led Zeppelin is dropping his 11th album as a solo artist. Coming off a solo career high point in 2014 with Lullaby...
