Leonard Cohen is a legendary Canadian singer-songwriter who passed away in 2016 leaving a long and excellent catalog of music behind. Cohen's son Adam Cohen has taken over the creative direction on all of the recordings Cohen made before his death and Thanks For The Dance is the first of what may be an ongoing series of posthumous releases. The genius of his songwriting spans decades and his status as one of the greatest lyricists of all time is undisputed. Even though I wasn't head over heels for his final record during his lifetime You Wanted It Darker I was still very excited to hear new music from a legend over three years after his death, and Thanks For The Dance mostly doesn't disappoint.
