Tears For Fears are a legendary British pop rock band who crafted numerous hits across a 3 album run in the 1980's, many of which have become enduring favorites and classics from the era. After an era of inconsistent line-ups in the 90's the band returned their core duo Roland Orsabel and Curt Smith for a 6th album in 2004. The Tipping Point  is their first new studio album since then, an 18 year gap. Review By Lav: I adore so many Tears For Fears classics. Everybody Wants To Rule The World , Woman In Chains , Mad World , Shout , Sowing The Seeds Of Love , Head Over Heels. They have a trio of records in the 1980's that hold up to almost anyone else from their era and the pinnacle, 1985's Songs From The Big Chair , is one of my favorite pop albums of all time. With all that being said I'm must less fond of the next 3 records in their career than I am of the first 3. I think I give the band more credit than a lot of critics for what they managed to achieve in that era...

The best new tracks released this weekend below: 5.  Scripture  - Eartheater After experiencing a pretty significant breakout across her last two albums Alexandra is back with a new Eartheater sound that combines some of the beautiful vocal melodies she's so well known for with a highly digitized and jittery instrumental. Sia) In perhaps the most unlikely pairing of the week Arca's newest single sees the experimental producer teaming up with pop's gold standard in songwriting who was responsible for the controversial Music  film last year. The jittery electronic production we've come to expect from an Arca song is still but distant among the spiraling synth lines and Sia's trademark vocal harmonies.
