Candle Cove Singles Chart: 7/26/19

1. DIIV - Skin Game
DIIV returns after a long studio album drought of three years with the lead single for their upcoming third record running away with the #1 spot this week.

2. The 1975 = The 1975
Matty Healy and company get their new era kicked off with a quick turn around from the last one dropping the band-named track that has been the opener to each of their records so far up to this point.

3. Taylor Swift - The Archer
Taylor has only one way to go an its up, with the midweek drop of The Archer Taylor takes a risk from a chart success standpoint but garners plenty of mid-week attention all her own.

4. Tegan And Sara - I'll Be Back Someday
Tegan and Sara kick off their own new era with their last studio record having come three years ago. The duo have co-opted songs they wrote in high school and assembled them into a new record that should sound like more of a return to form for the band.

5. Liam Gallagher - Once
Liam continues his surprisingly successful 2019 with a third single that has the potential to finish off a trilogy of great singles and make a run at a second week spot.

6. Bat For Lashes - Feel For You
After missing on her first single of the year Bat For Lashes lands at a comfortable six spot in a busy week and looks to try and take her success into a week two placement.

7. YBN Cordae - RNP (Fear. Anderson .Paak)
YBN Cordae sneaks in one last track before the release of his debut record and if the rest of 2019 has been any indication, a feature from Anderson .Paak is a very good sign.

8. DJ Shadow - Rocket Fuel (Feat. De La Soul)
Obviously there is a lot of reason to be excited for anew DJ Shadow track but keep expectations tempered as this song is tied to the upcoming soundtrack for Madden 20.

9. Denzel Curry - Shawshank (Feat. Tate Kobang)
Like Shadow above Denzel Curry has seen fit to drop this ZUU outtake as a part of the Madden 20 Soundtrack and the song should be met with fitting anticipation given the circumstances.

10. Ty Segall - Ice Plants
Ty Segall's new record leaked months ago but its upcoming release date still manages to generate som ebuzz as he drops yet another single from the project.

11. Thee Oh Sees - Heartworm
Thee incredibly prolific Oh Sees are once again returning with a new record and Heartworm serves as already the third helping of the album we've heard so far.

12. The Hold Steady - You Did Good Kid
While patience may have ran very thin for music from The Hold Steady they have still managed to grab the last spot on this weeks list for debuting singles.

13. Whitney - Valleys (My Love) (Down From #4)
With a second excellent single of 2019 Whitney leap frogs three first week competitors to land the highest ranking for second week tracks this week and making a leap at a #1 if they drop a third single.

14. XXXTETACION - Royalty (Feat. Ky-Mani Marley, Steffelon Don & Vybz Kartel) (Down From #1)
XXXTENTACION surprises with a very solid posthumous release and some solid features on a track that I didn't anticipate lasting two weeks, but here we are.

15. King Princess - Prophet (Down From #7)
King Princess makes a huge leap over some noteworthy artists to grab her first second week placement since Pussy Is God last year, and she makes her best attempt at landing on the Singles Of The Year list once again here.
