Candle Cove Singles Chart: 11/8/19

1. Frank Ocean - In My Room
For the second time in three weeks Frank Ocean takes the number one spot on the charts with pure name recognition alone, and for the second time in two weeks he blocks a Coldplay tune at #2. Frank seems to be gearing up for a proper album release which is exciting for everyone even if the singles haven't received universal acclaim.

2. Coldplay - Everyday Life
Coldplay is back with a third single in three weeks and this one came paired with a debut performance of the song on Saturday Night Live, proving that despite the years since Coldplay's last record they are still commercially dominant.

3. Poppy - BLOODMONEY
Poppy has been nearly flawless in 2019 with not only my runaway EP of the year but also a handful of fantastic singles that are working us towards her third record in four years in early 2020.

4. Mura Masa/Slowthai - Deal Wiv It
Given that the last time Mura Masa and Slowthai paired up they dropped the absolute banger that is Doorman expectations for this collab are high and could help Slowthai make a great 2019 even better,

5. Beach Slang - Tommy In The 80s
After making a fiery return to the sound of the bands first two records on their last single Beach Slang look to continue their blistering rock comeback with another strong single.

6. FKA Twigs - sad day
FKA Twigs first record in five years is here and the praise has been deafening which adds context to this unusually high release week single placing, but we are all just so excited for her to be back we will take anything we can get.

7. Beck - Dark Places
After a strange start to his new era Beck could look to double down with more unconventional music on this single or see if he returns to the more comfortable sound of his last record Colors.

8. Jessie Ware - Mirage (Don't Stop)
The always underrated Jessie Ware returns out of the blue with new music after dropping one of her most dense and mature records to date last year.

9. Iggy Azalea - Lola (Feat. Alice Chater)
While Iggy has made a lot of noise recently not a whole lot of the music on her second studio album was met with praise, but she could recover some with a good comeback single here.

10. Free Nationals - Shibuya (Feat. Syd)
The feature heavy series of singles from Anderson .Paak's band are finally reaching an endgame next month with the announcement of a debut record on the horizon.

11. Kilo Kish - Nice Out
Frequent Vince Staples collaboration Kilo Kish dropped a strange EP last year before ducking back out of the limelight but has returned again with her first solo single of 2019 here.

12. Tame Impala - It Might Be Time (Week #2, Down From #1)
Tame Impala have enjoyed a huge comeback in 2019 that will stretch into 2020 when the projects 4th studio album will be released and It Might Be Time is no exception making them a strong 3/3 on singles leading up to the new record so far.

13. La Roux - International Woman Of Leisure (Week #2, Down From #3)
Electro-pop fans rejoice as La Roux is back after a five year absence and she hasn't missed a beat with either her promotional material or her musicianship, attracting plenty of eyes patiently awaiting what she will do next.

14. Torres - Good Life (Week #2, Down From #2)
Torres is gearing up for her 4th record and it got off to an excellent start with Good Life a track that plays perfectly to her strengths as a songwriter and performer.

15. Pinegrove - Phase (Week #2, Down From #5)
Pinegrove's return to the indie spotlight has brought with them the same classic low-fi indie folk sound that they blew up off of and the well seems to be far from drying up as they continue to release great tracks.
