Candle Cove Singles Chart: 11/16/19

1. Glass Animals - Tokyo Drifting (Feat. Denzel Curry)
A team up that I never knew I needed shows up on the doorstep of 2019 as we transition into the long awaited and incredibly promising new era for Glass Animals.

2. Grimes - So Heavy I Fell Through The Earth
With a release date and a solo song we are finally starting to understand what the new Grimes record may sound like, and the first record she's dropped in 5 years is finally starting to take shape.

3. Moses Sumney - Virile
Moses Sumney is dropping his long awaited second record in two parts next year and if it follows the artistic progression of the EP he dropped in 2018, then it is liable to be an album of the year contender right out of the gate.

4. Camila Cabello - Living Proof
Camila is saturating these last few months with a lot of music and starting to define herself as a solo artist with a second full record on the horizon, an exciting prospect for any pop music fans.

5. Foxygen - On Your Own Love Again
Foxygen dropped a record earlier this year, and it hasn't been one of their most acclaimed or popular but given the massive talent of the duo a quick turn around, and a new song, is always exciting.

6. Wolf Parade - Forest Green
It's a strange time when Wolf Parade is prolifically releasing new music but this second chapter of their career seems to be filling up "Indie Classics" playlists quickly.

7. Danger Mouse - Ninjarous (Feat. Sparklehorse & MF DOOM)
Danger Mouse teamed up with Sparklehorse in 2010, for the bands last record before Mark Linkous' suicide, and now almost ten full years later he has seen fit to drop a track that features collaboration between the band and legendary rapper MF DOOM.

8. Modest Mouse - Ice Cream Party
Modest Mouse dropped two singles earlier this year that won't likely be making anyone's year end lists, but given the bands history and name recognition there will certainly be plenty of people continuing to pay attention to them, and to this song.

9. A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie - Reply (Feat. Lil Uzi Vert)
Lil Uzi can be a pretty rare feature by trap standards but he has chosen to pop up here on a Boogie track of all places, immediately raising its big time hit potential.

10. Beck - Everlasting Nothing
Beck's new era has been, strange, but on his name recognition alone there is reason to keep paying attention to one of the more unique artists in the world or indie, rock, pop, hip hop and funk crossover music.

11. Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds - Wandering Star
The Gallagher brothers have been surprisingly prolific this year and Noel continues to release a bunch of new music that is increasingly starting to require some kind of chart to breakdown all the EP's and singles they've dropped in the second half of this year.

12. Billie Eilish - Everything I Wanted
Billie Eilish dropped one of the more difficult records I've had to listen to this year, but I do think the production had way more of a hand in its awfulness than Billie did, so maybe going forward if she can surround herself with a good team to make the best of her talents she can do great things.

13. Khalid - Up All Night
Khalid dropped a dreadfully boring EP last year and an album with the same qualities earlier this year, but he is a consistent hitmaker and may be attracting more attention than ever before.

14. Coldplay - Everyday Life (Week #2, Down From #3)
Coldplay and Harry Styles have my two most anticipated releases left in 2019, so when either of them drop a single that I really enjoy it is cause for celebration, if the singles start to slow down in the coming weeks this song may still be here.

15. Poppy - Bloodmoney (Week #2, Down From #3)
Poppy has been unstoppable and undefeated in 2019 and this song is absolutely no different. Music fans are completely out of excuses for not taking Poppy seriously.
