With 2 albums and an EP that could all be fantastic, the ceiling for this week's releases is massively high. 3. We Were Babies & We Were Dirtbags (Quiet Slang) James Alex of modern punk band Beach Slang worked on this solo EP of reworked Beach Slang favorites like Future Mixtape For The Art Kids and Bad Art & Weirdo Ideas from their first two albums as a group and worked in a cover of Big Star's classic "Thirteen". The songs edge of punky thrashy energy are traded out for a more toned down "quiet" sound. It's just 4 tracks but it could be the first step to bigger things for James Alex, who doesn't need to prove his talent to anyone. 2. Glasshouse (Jessie Ware) Jessie Ware is back and you should be excited. The singles have been wonderful so far and there's no reason to expect this to not have some quality standard throughout. This has the potential to be the best effort from Jessie yet and it will likely be a must listen by the

What a shitty week for the credibility of whoever writes WALK THE MOON lyrics. Boy am I happy to see a personal favorite come back in such great fashion this week, I can't wait for 2018 to be the ultimate neo goth comeback year. A girl can dream right. 5. High End - Chris Brown (Feat. Future & Young Thug) I didn't start the week expecting to see Chris Brown, Future and Young Thug release a track together but now that it's out I'm not sure how I didn't see it coming. It's wavy distant trap vibes fit perfectly. Future does what he always does, Thugger brings a typical verse and Chris Brown handles the chorus. Sure there's not enough here to top the billboard charts but it's made to be background noise, and it does that so so well. 4. Heartstruck (Wild Hunger) - Hamilton Leithauser (Feat. Angel Olsen) Apparently collaborations are Hamilton's new thing now. He doesn't do a ton to separate this single from the rest of his catalogue but

After a slow one last week we kick it into high gear with 7 new releases across all genres and quality expectations. Let's get into it. 7. "Ogilala" William Patrick Corgan Better known as Billy Corgan the frontman of once great rock band Smashing Pumpkins, the music has certainly gone downhill as the line up of musicians surrounding Corgan constantly changed over the years. Though he's far from heyday he also hasn't crashed yet and even though some of his most recent work is just plain boring, it's not outright bad, here's to hoping he can turn it around for a late career comeback effect, but I wouldn't hold my breath. 6. "Carry Fire" Robert Plant Here we are again, this time Plant of the great Led Zeppelin is dropping his 11th album as a solo artist. Coming off a solo career high point in 2014 with Lullaby... And The Ceasless Roar it's an uphill battle to expect Plant will come back with a classic. The singles have been managab

We're back. And what a shitty week to be back. Some real digging had to be done to assemble 10 tracks I can genuinely reccomend to you this week, but I've done it nonetheless so let's get started. 10. "The City" YG Hootie (Ft. Kendrick Lamar) YG Hootie shows his lack of experience as an MC all over this track. Barely stumbling through offbeat meaningless bars the song actually turns out pretty good for what it is. Kendrick is quality as always but nothing special for his status. The chorus really brings it home, it's simple and catchy, which is really what makes this one worth returning to. YG Hootie by himself doesn't seem like an appealing proospect and his next track may not even make enough noise to come across my glance, but this song is just good enough. 9. "Blue Pill" Metro Boomin (Ft. Travis Scott) Blue Pill is exactly what it is. Metro Boomin produces just like he always does  distant, base heavy, and trap flavored. Travis Sc
