Candle Cove Singles Chart: 12/6/19
1. Alanis Morissette - Reasons I Drink
Legendary singer songwriter Alanis Morisette is back with a tour supporting her legendary 1995 record Jagged Little Pill as well as a new single for the first time in 7 years.
2. Tame Impala - Posthumous Forgiveness
Tame Impala has been hitting it out of the park with every single so far and there is no reason to expect it to be any different for this one, a high placement is always a guarantee with a band like Tame Impala even going on their 4th single of the year.
3. Harry Styles - Adore You
Harry Styles struck gold with a second amazing lead single for the second record of his short solo career, and has given us more than enough reason to expect the good songs to continue from here.
4. Flatbush Zombies - Monica (Feat. Tech N9ne)
The New York hip hop trio is back in action after their record last year was met with just okay reviews they have recruited legendary fast rapper Tech N9ne to join them for their first single of the year in the last month of 2019.
5. Torres - Gracious Day
Torres has continued to wow with the singles since her last record Three Futures and this is likely to be no exception, falling to #5 during a strong week it could be a prime candidate for longer chart success in the coming weeks.
6. La Roux - Gullible Fool
La Roux's first single from her new record could have been better, but that doesn't erase the sheer talent in namesake she has behind her going forward and 6 is more than an appropriate spot for an artist who dropped an excellent synth pop record just half a decade ago.
7. Caribou - You and I
The long awaited return of Caribou music got off to a good start earlier this year and it looks to continue on with a second single leading up to the albums release early next year.
8. Halsey - Finally // beautiful stranger
Halsey has finally announced the details of her new record coming next year and very quickly after we are also getting yet another taste of what new direction she could take her sound going forward.
9. Kali Uchis - Solita
Kali Uchis is probably a long way away from another studio album but that doesn't mean a loosey single here and there won't drop, and with very little promo this track very nearly slipped under the radar.
10. Hinds - Riding Solo
The Spanish rock band and part time Strokes cover band are back with yet another single after the last few years have been met with a prolific output of music.
11. Smokepurpp - Audi ii
Purpp's EP from earlier this year came and went without much in the way of attention but he is just a high profile feature away from being back in the spotlight with something more substantial on the horizon.
12. The Weeknd - Heartless (Week #2, Down From #1)
The Weeknd is just one of those names that goes hand in hand with great singles and this one is no different, expect to hear it for months to come and find it placed confidently on my year end list in a few weeks.
13. Grimes - My Name Is Dark - (Week #2, Down From #2)
Grimes drops one of her most unique singles from this new era and given her already unique style, Dark is a track worth checking out for everyone from long time fans to curious investigators.
14. Kilo Kish - Spark (Week #2, Down From #4)
Kilo Kish proved to be one of the biggest surprises of the week with a song I really enjoyed and a second week placement over some pretty significant week three competition.
15. Destroyer - It Just Doesn't Happen (Week #3, Down From #5)
