Candle Cove Singles Chart: 11/22/19

1. PARTYNEXTDOOR - The News
After a long absence of studio material and mostly silence on the social front from PND he has emerged with two new singles, hopefully on the way towards new material.

2. XXXTENTACION - bad vibes forever (Feat. PnB Rock & Trippie Redd)
Even a year and a half after his death Jahseh is still turning heads wherever his name emerges and grabbing some contemporary trap stars to join in on posthumous material it seems the well of X's music isn't quite dried up yet.

3. Marilyn Manson - The End
Marilyn Manson made headlines recently for performing at Travis Scott's Astroworld Festival but he has emerged with a second cover in the last few weeks, this time of The Doors classic The End. Certainly an intriguing prospect released at a good time with his name already in the headlines.

4. Destroyer - It Just Doesn't Happen
Destroyer dropped a second single after a return to form first release and is coming around with a second single on his way to a December album release.

5. HAIM - Hallelujah
HAIM is back with a line of singles after we heard from them earlier this year on good records from Vampire Weekend and Charli XCX and is now hoping to come back for some big singles of their own.

6. Grimes - So Heavy I Fell Through The Earth (Week #2, Down From #2)
Grimes storms into the highest week two placement and is looking forward to a potential week three placement as her record is already one of the most anticipated of 2020.

7. Harry Styles - Watermelon Sugar
After starting the era with a great lead single in Lights Up Harry is looking to continue his momentum right into his unconventional but highly anticipated December album release.

8. Moses Sumney - Virile (Week #2, Down #3)
Moses Sumney continues to push the envelope of alternative R&B music with creative releases, Virile is firmly among them.

9. Glass Animals - Tokyo Drifting (Feat. Denzel Curry) (Week #2, Down From #1)
A marquee collaboration between hip hop and indie stars turned out a little flatter than it maybe could have, nut despite this a lot of attention has gone the tracks way and Glass Animals has the potential for a huge third record.

10. Camila Cabello - Living Proof (Week #2, Down From #4)
Camila has saturated 2019 with singles and Living Proof has the potential to be one of the best and could stand for an every stronger placement if next year isn't as busy.

11. Foxygen - On Your Own Love Again (Week #2, Down From #5)
Foxygen has the chance to jump back into their on and off quality standard and this single that blurs the lines between leftover and new era, to be determined.

12. Danger Mouse - Ninjarous (Feat. Sparklehorse & MF DOOM) (Week #2, Down From #7)
The big picture collaboration featuring posthumous vocals from Sparklehorse and a feature from part time Danger Mouse collaborator MF DOOM was an attention seeking headline and will stand out as a great single, but doesn't look like anything is coming from it.

13. Wolf Parade - Forest Green (Week #2, Down From #6)
The continued comeback of Wolf Parade is continuing with Forest Green and hopefully this is the start of a new record from one of the most beloved indie bands of the 2000's.

14. A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie - Reply (Feat. Lil Uzi Vert) (Week #2, Down From #9)
Boogie and Uzi's team up actually came off a lot better than many anticipated, and the two seemed to heighten each other above their typical quality standards.

15. Poppy - BLOODMONEY (Week #3, Stay At #15)
2019 was a great year for Poppy just like 2018, and 2017, and likely 2020. A second third week placement coming at the end of the year is as good an indicator as any that her record next year could be a good one.
