Candle Cove Singles Chart 10/25/19

1. Frank Ocean - DHL
Despite having come out very early in the week it is hard to pick anything but Frank Ocean's first new music since 2017 to top this weeks chart, full of potential chart toppers but none of which have quite the circumstance of Frank.

2. Coldplay - Arabesque
Coldplay has been making some big but vague promises in interviews recently and now we finally get the taste of their new upcoming "experimental" record with the release of its first two singles.

3. Destroyer - Crimson Tide
Dan Beyar is back after a prolific and critically acclaimed decade writing songs as Destroyer with yet another new era on the horizon, though we will have to wait until next year to hear the full album we can get a taste of it right now with its lead single.

4. The 1975 - Frail State Of Mind
The 1975 dominated this chart last year with their five singles and got off to a good start scoring a #1 with People last month, now they are back again falling to four when facing an absolutely stacked year, but expectations are as high as ever for Matty Healy and company.

5. XXXTENTACION - HEARTEATER
The well of posthumous X music isn't dried up yet as this song Hearteater has emerged and could be an indication that we will finally be able to hear X's Bad Vibes project.

6. Courtney Barnett - Keep On
Courtney Barnett follows up a very underrated singles released earlier on this year with yet another strike at potential indie rock success.

7. Leonard Cohen - Happens To The Heart
We have been hearing that posthmous material from Cohen was out there since a little after his death two years ago and now we finally have a taste at what the creative direction of the music may be with Happens To The Heart

8. Selena Gomez - Lose You To Love Me
The long wait for LP2 from Selena may be soon coming to a close with the release of her new single and the promise that her record is completely done.

11. Pet Shop Boys = Dreamland (Feat. Years & Years)
Legendary pop duo Pet Shop Boys teams up with contemporary groups Years & Years for a crossover that seems to have a lot of potential.

12. Perfume Genius - Pop Song (Week #2, Down From #2)
Perfume Genius rocked the charts with his first single of the year and this time around he climbs to the highest week two placement, and while he may not finish as strongly with this single a week three placement isn't completely out of the question.

13. Ghetto Sage  Haagen Dazs (Week #2, Down From #3)
Saba, Noname and Smino team up for an excellent group collab that is lyrically sharp and has some fantastic chemistry from the young Chicago trio.

14. Wolf Parade - Against The Day (Week #2, Down From #1)
While it may not be an overnight favorite for Wolf Parade fans but it is a decent start to the second record of their 2010's comeback.

15. Have A Nice Life - Science Beat (Week #2, Down From #7)
Science Beat may be the most at home of the singles released so far from Have A Nice Life's new record with its brooding dystopian post-pumk sound.
