Candle Cove Singles Chart: 9/27/19

1. Rushing Back - Flume (Feat. Vera Blue)
Flume takes the #1 spot on a light week with yet another single in a line of collaborations he has been dropping sporadically this year with varied results. His namesake is more than enough to get ears onto his songs, especially if a new project is in the works.

2. Down - Hemlock Ernst and Kenny Segal
Sam T. Herring, most commonly known as the frontman of indie pop band Future Islands is finally taking his underground rap moniker Hemlock Ernst to the next level and releasing a full length album that should be one of the most high profile indie and hip hop crossovers this year,

3. Into The Surf - Foals
Foals' second part of the album they released earlier this year is rapidly approaching and they have dropped a run of very solid singles leading up to it likely to release yet another indie favorite of 2019.

4. Good Luck - Broken Bells
The two time collaboration between James Mercer, frontman of The Shins and super-producer Danger Mouse is back for a third round with this single that is likely to lead into an album announcement soon.

5. From Out Of Nowhere - Electric Light Orchestra
After a decent album with a surprisingly great lead single back in 2015 Jeff Lynne is back for yet another new ELO record that is sure to bring with it bombastic and shimmering 80's throwbacks by the dozen.

6. Bolivian Soldier - Ariel Pink
Without an album release date announced on the horizon Ariel Pink is merely treating fans to new batch of strange and experimental tracks, pretty much exactly what they want.

7. Best Life - Danny Brown (Week #2, Down From #1)
Danny Brown teams up with Q-Tip of A Tribe Called Quest on production for an improvement upon the first single released from his upcoming record and a higher second week placement to pair with it.

8. Blankenship - DIIV (Week #2, Down From #3)
DIIV drops the best single from their upcoming album yet and seek out a week three placement with some fiery shoegaze improvising and walls of exorbitant guitar sounds.

9. Lord Of Tresserhorn - Have A Nice Life (Week #2, Down From #3)
Have A Nice Life ran into some trouble with their first single earlier this year but seem to be on the path of redemption with their second track which features a lot of major artistic improvements.

10. Family And Loyalty - Gang Starr (Feat. J. Cole) (Week #2, Down From #4)
Hearing Guru once again alongside J. Cole with some well assembled production from Premier sets the clock back on Gang Starr to their most potent and electrifying days.

11. Rosie - DJ Shadow (Week #2, Down From #
9)
DJ Shadow drops one of his wildest instrumentals in years on a track that has many excited for his upcoming massive double album.

12. Everyone Hides - Wilco (Week #2, Down From #5)
Wilco may be onto something as they drop two very solid singles in the lead up to their new record, which has the potential to be their best in years.

13. Eye In The Wall - Perfume Genius (Week #3, Down From #11)
Though Carly Rae Jepsen and The Drums came close earlier in the year, we have not had a week 4 placement in all of 2019 and Perfume Genius looks to be able to take it with his wild, driving and incredibly unique indie goth dance tune Eye In The Wall.

14. Psycho - Slowthai and Denzel Curry (Week #3, Down From #12)
The novelty is far from running out on Denzel and Slowthai's horror rap banger as it is packed with quotables, has an insane beat and rapid fire flows that are absolutely irresistible.

15. La Mala Ordina - Clipping (Feat. Benny The Butcher, The Rise & Elcamino) (Week #3, Down From #13)
If there was any more room to get excited for Clippings new record the longevity of this single two weeks after its release should more than do it as the group gears up for their third studio album later this year.
