Of Monsters And Men return after a four year absence and run away with the number one spot on the charts this week setting up for a big comeback effort this summer.

 2. The National - "Hairpin Turns"
The National drop a third single in a line of critically acclaimed drops so far in 2019 setting up for their upcoming album to potentially be one of their best in years.

 3. Madonna - "I Rise"
Madonna follows up an underwhelming single quickly with another addition to her ever evolving catalog of genre bending pop tunes.

 4. Titus Andronicus - "Tumult Around The World"
Titus Andronicus follow-up one of their best singles in years with another promotional cut to drum up even more hype for their upcoming album.

 5. Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds - "Black Star Dancing"
The former Oasis frontman returns quickly with more material from his solo band following up a recently released B Sides and Rarities project.

 6. Blueface - "Stop Cappin"
Blueface adds another potentially viral single to his come-up 2019.

 7. YG - "Go Loko" Feat. Tyga, Jon Z
YG recruits recently revived hitmaker Tyga for a latin inspired shot at trap gold.

 8. FKA Twigs "Cellophane" (Down From #1)
Cellophane benefits from a slow week to hang on to to a top 10 position and have a great shot at being the 6th song this year to chart for 3 weeks straight.

 9. Ride - "Future Love" (Down From #5)
The shoegaze legends jump a few tunes for just a 4 spot fall from week one to two and score the opportunity to potentially hang on even longer.

 10. Flying Lotus - "Spontaneous" Feat. Little Dragon (Down From #2)
Fly Lo's big return falls short of a lot of expectations but finds itself in the top 10 for a second week after a high debut.

 11. Japanese Breakfast - "Essentially" (Down From #4)
Thought it may never see an album Essentially has done quite a bit to satisfy the Japanese Breakfast sized hole left in 2018.

 12. The Black Keys - "Eagle Birds"
The Black Keys debut in week two with Eagle Bird an enjoyable and unique jazz rock experience.

 13. Remo Drive - "Two Bux" (Down From #6)
The first taste of Remo Drive's sophomore record holds tight for a second week.

 14. Taylor Swift - "ME!" Feat. Brendan Urie (Down From #3)
The underwhelming collaboration has been a wildly popular success and barely holds on to its chart position for week two after a big fall.

 15. Carly Rae Jepsen - "Julien" (Down From #11, Week #3)
Carly's fantastic pop ballad becomes just the 5th song this year to spend three weeks on the chart, and is well on its way to being one of the best singles of the year.

jasmine.4.t is a British singer-songwriter who was announced last year as a new signee of the Phoebe Bridgers-led Saddest Factory record label. You Are The Morning  follows a trio of singles that dropped last year and features Phoebe Bridgers' entire group, boygenius, on production throughout the record as well as occasional backing vocals from the trio. I was extremely excited for the release of the album after loving all of the singles and this style of indie-folk and singer-songwriter music in general. Delightfully, Jasmine didn't disappoint. When I say my expectation were high for You Are The Morning  I mean it, because the album's three singles are an astounding bunch. Lead single "Skin On Skin" is a wonderfully written tune that's able to convey some unique sensations with the physical descriptions in its lyricism. The Spiritual Sound - Agriculture: Review

Agriculture  are an LA black metal band who erupted onto the scene with a challenging but visceral self-titled debut in 2023. While I enjoyed that record, what I enjoyed even more was the Living Is Easy EP that followed it up and contained one of the band’s best songs to date, “In The House Of Angel Flesh.” With even stronger singles leading into their sophomore effort, The Spiritual Sound , I was expecting another outside-the-box black metal experience. That's exactly what I got.  The album is essentially split down the middle by a titular instrumental interlude, and everything that comes before it is pretty great. That includes the staggering single “The Weight.” I still think it's one of Agriculture’s best songs yet, and the way it builds to an absolutely pummeling peak across 5 minutes should be studied. ICONOCLASTS - Anna Von Hausswolff: Review

Anna Von Hausswolff is a singer/songwriter who has always made waves for their distinctly intense and occasionally brooding style of music that makes prominent use of the pipe organ. Her peak of critical acclaim came on 2018's brooding yet expansive Dead Magic . Her 2020 follow-up was an entirely instrumental record, meaning ICONOCLASTS  had the chance to be a long-awaited return to form. Instead, the record presents a sound both brighter and more intimate than ever before, but finds a similar level of fascination in doing so.  The singles predicted this shift in style, but they were all so good that I never had the chance to even be suspicious about it. "Facing Atlas" is the first of the singles to pop up on the record, and it's a great way to begin the experiment. The song sounds more like something you'd hear on a Susanne Sundfor record than what I expect from Anna. The beauty of its angelic chimes matches really well with a chapel-sized performance from Anna. ...
