Thursday Album Release Hype Thread: 5/25/17

Let's talk album releases for May, 26th!

Lil Yachty "Teenage Emotions"
Yachty has been an enigma since releasing his debut mixtape Lil Boat.  He simply doesn't sound like anything you've ever heard and is obviously polarizing for that reason. Whether it's the name, or the hair, or the vocals whatever has turned you off of Lil Yachty isn't worth avoiding this album. Lil Boat was a unique and interesting tale of Lil Boat, Lil Yachty and their uncle masked in an Atlanta trap mixtape and with the success of songs like One Night, and Minnesota everyone had to decide to love or hate Yachty. Since then a less than stellar Apple Music project may have disappointed you but the following iSpy feature, It Takes Two cover, lead single Bring It Back and the less fantastic follow up X-Men, Lil Yachty is on a hot streak and Teenage Emotions could make or break him as an artist. Plenty of reason to tune in.

New Order "NOMC15"
This upcoming live album from legendary Synth pop band New Order is a can't miss for fans. Still riding the wave of their 2015 album Music Complete last year they dropped the Complete Music remix album and this year they bring some of these new songs, along with some old favorites and versions of Joy Division classics all together here. If live collections from Julia Holter and Sufjan Stevens earlier in the year proved to be enjoyable to you there's no reason to pass up this collection of live New Order performances.
